From the bedlam at a sorcerer's workshop to the stories of One Thousand and One Nights in Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, this concert is a vivid portrayal of the fantastical and exotic.
Electrifying pianist Haochen Zhang – gold medal winner at the Thirteenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition – brings his captivating and spectacular virtuosity to Tchaikovsky's famous First Piano Concerto, flavoured with Ukrainian folksongs.
Join Chief Conductor Jaime Martín and the MSO for an evening and let these musical tales transport you to faraway lands.
